How to care for your cake on collection

Your cake will be chilled prior to collection. If you will be travelling with your cake again after collection, we recommend chilling the cake until this time. Please chill your cake if it has fruit on it, if not consuming the same day.

Cakes should be kept flat during transport. If driving, please place your cake in the boot of your car, this is by far the safest place for it. Failing this the footwell by the passenger seat. If you place your cake on the seat or hold it during travel we cannot be held responsible for your cake not arriving in one piece.

In hot weather, you may need to refrigerate your cake after collection. During the summer every effort is made to make your cake more heat stable. Your cake is iced in buttercream or ganache, however, and chocolate and butter will melt in hot weather.

If your cake has a long journey please inform us when booking. This will need to be taken into account when designing your cake.

Finally, buttercream cakes can be fragile so please take care when handling them. We want your cake to be as beautiful when it reaches it's final destination as it was when you collected it from us here at Red Robin Pantry.
CAKE FLAVOURS
We have twenty-one scrumptious flavours for you to choose between, from a simple vanilla sponge to something a little more unusual, such as our red wine velvet or the new flavour for 2024 weddings - Peach & Basil Bellini!
Four generous layers of sponge sandwiched together with a choice of rich and velvety Italian meringue buttercream or finest Belgian chocolate ganache, and complementing preserve where appropriate. All of our cakes once iced are a minimum of 6 inches tall so our tiers go much further when you portion them up.

PRICING INFO
Our flavours have been arranged into three price brackets based on our normal sponge for each flavour.
​
Vegan cakes - due to the cost of dairy butter and eggs, vegan cakes are sometimes cheaper than dairy versions even though the cakes are more time consuming. Some of the tier two or tier three options may drop down if you choose a vegan cake.
​
Gluten free cakes contain ground almonds and gluten free flour, these cakes will often more expensive and are usually moved up to the next price category. We have four in total including these gluten free cakes.

These cakes are our base cake prices. If you are on a budget these are your best options!

Classic Vanilla
Spiced Raspberry
A buttermilk sponge with warm sweet spices sandwiched together with vanilla buttercream and raspberry conserve.
Indulgent Chocolate
A rich, velvety and indulgent cake, made with 70% Belgian fair trade organic chocolate, sandwiched together with a choice of Madagascan vanilla or salted caramel buttercream, or dark chocolate, orange or hazelnut ganache.

Red Wine Velvet
Traditionally a light chocolate & buttermilk sponge, we bake ours with red wine for a deliciously robust flavour, finishing with a cinnamon or vanilla buttercream. During the festive season why not go for a warming mulled wine velvet instead.

Carrot & Walnut
A classic favourite, our carrot cake is wonderfully zesty, spicy and moist, with desiccated coconut, toasted walnuts and juicy sultanas. Finally sandwiched together with vanilla or cinnamon buttercream.

Lime & Coconut
A light & zesty lime sponge with desiccated coconut and coconut cream, sandwiched together with our homemade lime curd, and coconut white chocolate ganache or vanilla buttercream.

PRICE GROUP TWO
These cakes are our midrange cake flavours. These cake flavours either take slightly longer to make or have more expensive ingredients.

Rich Madeira
A little more indulgent than the classic vanilla sponge. This beautifully rich cake has a hint of lemon alongside the Madagascan Vanilla. The addition of ground almonds results in a deliciously moist texture that you just can't beat. This is a wonderful option for a classic flavour with a little extra, and is divine paired with our blueberry and lemon curd.
Lemon & Ginger
A warm, spicy and sticky cake, with dark treacle and muscovado sugar, and plenty of zest. Sandwiched together with a vanilla buttercream and lemon curd.
Chocolate & Stout
The big brother to our indulgent chocolate cake. Wonderfully dark and moist, with a rich and malty flavour. We think it's paired best with either a vanilla or a white chocolate buttercream.

Passion Cake
A great cake for the summer, with a beautiful balance of coconut, pineapple, and banana this cake is layered together with passion fruit coulis and vanilla buttercream or coconut white chocolate ganache.

Salted Caramel
Baked with brown butter and muscovado sugar, this sponge has a real depth of flavour. Filled with salted caramel and either dark chocolate ganache or vanilla buttercream.

Spiced Toffee Apple
With dark brown sugar, cinnamon, and plenty of apples, this cake is heavenly. Simply sandwiched together with toffee sauce and vanilla buttercream.

PRICE GROUP THREE
These cakes are our more expensive cake flavours to make.
These cake flavours either take slightly longer to make or have more expensive ingredients. Many of the above cake flavours will fall into this category if they are gluten free. Whereas the below flavours may be tier four if they are gluten free.

Peach & Basil Bellini
A ground almond sponge with a Prosecco drizzle filled with a peach & basil conserve and a vanilla Italian meringue buttercream.
White Chocolate, Raspberry & Pistachio
A rich sponge with roasted ground pistachios and raspberries, filled with white chocolate ganache or buttercream and raspberry conserve.
