The Cake Shed is CLOSED TODAY and will also be CLOSED all of next weekend while I’m away.

I know lots of you normally pop down on a Sunday, so I didn’t want anyone making a wasted cake trip! 😂

🍂 Apparently I am an autumn! 😂🍰

And autumn has definitely started creeping into the Falmouth Cake Shed this weekend! The fridge is stocked with Spiced Toffee Apple, Maple & Pecan, Almond Croissant Dessert Cookies, Orange & Cardamom Brownies, Amber & Pretzel Blondies, Raspberry Red Velvet Cheesecake and plenty more. 🤤

Everything is handmade in small batches here in Cornwall using local free-range eggs, Cornish butter and cream, Belgian chocolate, Madagascan vanilla and the best seasonal ingredients I can get my hands on. Once it’s gone, it’s gone!

🍂 AUTUMN IS IN THE AIR AT THE FALMOUTH CAKE SHED! 🍰

The Cake Shed is fully stocked and open this afternoon — but a quick warning before I tempt you with cake… I’M CLOSED THIS SUNDAY! So if you need your weekend treats, today or tomorrow is the time to come and get them! 😂

A few autumn flavours are starting to sneak onto the shelves this week, including Spiced Toffee Apple Cake Bars, Maple & Pecan Cake Bars, Orange & Cardamom Brownies and my new Almond Croissant Dessert Cookies 🤤🍂

There’s also Raspberry Red Velvet Baked Cheesecake, Amber & Pretzel Blondies, Triple Chocolate Brownies, Vanilla Cake Bars and plenty more!

Well… I think you won. 😂🍰

This is officially ALL that’s left in the Cake Shed after an absolutely bonkers Bank Holiday weekend so far! ❤️

There are just a handful of cake bars left now, so if you fancy one, I’m open for just over another hour — until 7pm or until these are gone!

I was supposed to be opening again tomorrow for Bank Holiday Monday, but unless anyone wants me to put that half-full Kilner jar of jam in the fridge, I’m not going to have very much to sell. 😂😬

I’ll see what survives the next hour and update you about tomorrow!

SUNDAY CAKE SHED UPDATE 🍰☀️

Well… you lot were out in force yesterday! 😂❤️

Yesterday was almost busier than the whole of last weekend and I genuinely thought I’d made enough to see me comfortably through the four-day Bank Holiday weekend, with maybe a little treat left for me too. Apparently not! 😬

The Cake Shed is now open and loaded up with everything I have left!

The cheesecakes and loaded cookies are completely gone, there’s no Triple Chocolate Brownie left, and I’m down to the last of the other brownies and blondies too. There’s still a good selection of cake bars, Clotted Cream & Summer Berry Tiffin and Marshmallow Teacake Shortbread Slices though! 🍰

And that’s it — everything I have is now in the Cake Shed! 😂 Unless anyone fancies a half-full Kilner jar of jam, because that’s pretty much all that’s left in the big fridge. 😂

I’m supposed to be open again tomorrow for Bank Holiday Monday, so we’ll see what you leave me with today… 😬😂

🌦️🍰 SATURDAY MORNING AT THE FALMOUTH CAKE SHED! 🍰🌦️

The rain very kindly gave me just enough of a break to get the Cake Shed stocked up this morning — and I even got a tiny glimpse of sunshine while I was doing it! 😂☀️

The fridge is full and the doors are open, with lots of cake bars, brownies, blondies, baked cheesecake, loaded cookies, clotted cream tiffin and marshmallows waiting for you. 🤤

There are 5 cake bar flavours to choose from this weekend too, so there is a LOT of cake in that fridge! 🍰

🍰 THE CAKE SHED IS STOCKED & OPEN! 🍰
(MONDAY TOO THIS WEEKEND!!)

I may have got a little carried away with the cake bars this week… there are FIVE flavours in the fridge! 😂

I had a couple coming to collect some flavours to taste for their wedding cake next year, so while I was baking them I thought — well, I might as well make extra for the Cake Shed too! And it is a Bank Holiday weekend after all, so more cake seems entirely appropriate.

This weekend we have:

🍓 Vanilla & Strawberry
❤️ Spiced Raspberry
🥕 Carrot & Walnut
🍫🍺 Chocolate & Cornish Stout
🍎 Spiced Toffee Apple — and ohhhh this one looks so scrummy with those caramelised apples on top. Definitely one that will be coming back for autumn. YUM.

I’ve also finally done a little taste test of the new Clotted Cream & Summer Berry Tiffin, and combined with the customer feedback so far, I think the consensus is… 🤤🤤🤤

Plus there are brownies, blondies, Orange & Roasted Peach Baked Cheesecake (back for week two after being rather popular last weekend!) and the Salted Caramel Sundae Dessert Cookie.

Oh. My. God. That cookie.

I could genuinely eat the entire fridge this week. 😂

And because it’s the Bank Holiday, you’ve got an extra Cake Shed day to fill your bellies with yumminess:

A little extra Cake Shed opening for you this weekend! As it’s Bank Holiday Monday, I’m going to keep the Falmouth Cake Shed open for an extra day. ❤️

Four days of Cake Shed this Bank Holiday weekend! 😎☀️🍰

🍰 A little September Cake Shed heads-up!

I’m taking a little bit of time away in September to visit family, so there are a few changes to the usual Cake Shed opening hours.

Friday 4th & Saturday 5th September — OPEN as usual
Sunday 6th September — CLOSED

Then the following weekend I’ll be away, so the Cake Shed will be CLOSED Friday 11th – Sunday 13th September.

I’ll be back and filling the fridge with lots of yumminess from 2pm on Friday 18th September, with normal weekend opening hours resuming from there. ❤️

🍂 September also means a bit of a seasonal changeover in the Cake Shed!

We’ll be saying goodbye to the summer flavours and starting to make room for all those lovely autumn and winter bakes. And that means a little End of Summer Marshmallow Sale! ☀️

My remaining Summer Marshmallow Boxes will be ⅓ OFF — just £5 a box throughout September, while stocks last. Once they’re gone, they’re gone, ready for the autumn/winter marshmallow flavours to take their place. 🍂

I’ll keep this post pinned at the top of my page so you can easily check the September dates before making a cake trip!

🍰☀️ IT’S FRIDAY — THE FALMOUTH CAKE SHED IS OPEN! ☀️🍰

The fridge is stocked, the baking marathon is complete and she’s officially OPEN for the weekend! 🐝

There are a few newbies to hunt down in the fridge this week…

🍓 Spiced Raspberry Cake Bars — a favourite from my wedding cake menu making its Cake Shed debut. A little late-summer fruit with some lovely warming spice.

🍑 Orange & Roasted Peach Baked Cheesecake — making the most of those last few weeks of gorgeous summer fruit.

🍨 Salted Caramel Sundae Dessert Cookies — brown butter, Belgian milk chocolate, Madagascan vanilla whipped mascarpone ganache and plenty of homemade salted caramel.

🍓 Clotted Cream & Summer Berry Tiffin — inspired by the tiffin my Nan used to make when I was little, but given a bit of a pastry-chef upgrade with Belgian milk & dark chocolate, Cornish clotted cream, homemade shortbread and summer berries.

And there are plenty of returning favourites too — Vanilla & Strawberry and Carrot Cake Bars, Triple Chocolate & Peanut Butter Brownies, Vanilla Berry Blondies, handmade marshmallows and marshmallow shortbreads. ❤️

We’re getting into the last few weekends of summer flavours now before September brings some cosier additions to the Cake Shed menu… so come and get the peaches and berries while you can! ☀️🍑
