How to care for your cake on collection

Your cake will be chilled prior to collection. If you will be travelling with your cake again after collection, we recommend chilling the cake until this time. Please chill your cake if it has fruit on it, if not consuming the same day.

Cakes should be kept flat during transport. If driving, please place your cake in the boot of your car, this is by far the safest place for it. Failing this the footwell by the passenger seat. If you place your cake on the seat or hold it during travel we cannot be held responsible for your cake not arriving in one piece.

In hot weather, you may need to refrigerate your cake after collection. During the summer every effort is made to make your cake more heat stable. Your cake is iced in buttercream or ganache, however, and chocolate and butter will melt in hot weather.

If your cake has a long journey please inform us when booking. This will need to be taken into account when designing your cake.

Finally, buttercream cakes can be fragile so please take care when handling them. We want your cake to be as beautiful when it reaches it's final destination as it was when you collected it from us here at Red Robin Pantry.

Product Information
An ivory or pastel piped heart cake with written message. Choose from classic vanilla with raspberry conserve/ lemon drizzle with lemon curd or chocolate with chocolate buttercream. Colour selection - This cake can be ivory with a coloured written message, or you can select a pastel base colour for the cake if you don't want ivory. SIZE OPTIONS: 6" three layer - serves 8-10 8" three layer - serves 16-20 10” three layer - serves 24-30 (Please note sizes are based on the equivalent sized round cake. Heart shaped cakes will differ slightly in width) ALLERGENS: DAIRY; EGGS; WHEAT (GLUTEN), SOY. MADE IN A KITCHEN THAT HANDLES NUTS AND OTHER ALLERGENS. TRANSPORT: All cakes are chilled prior to transport. For collection orders or those who wish to transport their cake following delivery, place your cake in the boot of your car or in the passenger footwell. Make sure nothing can fall onto the cake box during transport. If possible, have the aircon on during warm weather. Please do not travel with the cake on your lap. Body heat will melt the buttercream. SERVING YOUR CAKE: Allow your cake to come to room temperature before serving. This may take a couple of hours. STORAGE: To store cut cake, please place in a airtight box or wrap in clingfilm to prevent the cake drying out. Exposed cake will dry out in the fridge. SHELF LIFE: All cakes have a shelf life of 5 days. PLEASE NOTE: Our made to order cakes are shorter than our cakes listed in our wedding cake price list at three layers of cake rather than four, this along with reduced admin costs of set designs and online ordering reduces the costs. All of our made to order cakes come as described. We do not offer customisation other than that mentioned in the booking. If you would like something other than what is offered in our set designs and flavours please email info@redrobinpantry.co.uk for a bespoke cake quote. When ordering please select your date and delivery/collection time. Please inform us as soon as possible if you will be late to collect you cake. Evening collections may be possible. Please contact us to confirm this prior to booking. If you request delivery this will be quoted at the time of booking before your cake is accepted.
Cancellation Policy
All online cake orders are paid for at the point of ordering. For online made to order cakes we allow free cancellation or rescheduling up 72hrs before the collection/delivery time. After this time we may still be able to reschedule depending on our availability, please email info@redrobinpantry.co.uk.
